We take care of all the paperwork, including pulling permits, doing PG&E applications and drawing plans. We’ve done this process many times, so we’re very efficient at it.

We always recommend Enphase inverters. They have excellent customer service and they’ll be around for a long time because they make excellent products. We can also help you choose microinverters made by companies like Tesla and Sunrun.

Yes, and you can also go on review sites and see what our past clients have to say. Even a bad contractor can find a few great references that you can call, but you won’t get an actual view of the company until you look at reviews.

Should I invest in a battery with my solar array?

Accepted Answer

Most battery installations aren’t worth it because they’re not cost-effective. People often make the assumption that because solar panels pay for themselves, the batteries must also, but that’s not true. Batteries aren’t designed for 90 to 95 percent of people. They only have a 10-year warranty, and after 10 years, most are only at 70 percent effectiveness. They can cost $35,000, and that’s a lot of money to be spending for just a few hours of stored power per year. Unless your house loses power all the time, there’s no reason to buy an expensive battery.
