My name is Nick Thompson. I am operations manager and CEO of Thompson Construction. Thompson Construction is a general contractor with a focus in residential construction. We do new builds from the ground up. We do kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, additions, whole house remodels, and siding and window replacements. I don't like to focus on what makes us different from other people. I like to focus on what we offer. And what we offer is being honest, dependable, and transparent. You get that right from the start. From when we come out to do our initial bid, to when you receive the bid, and then the start of the job process. We're in constant contact with you guys. We have great communication. And I think those are all important reasons to choose us and what makes us a great company. We've been in business for 40 years. We have a couple people on our team that have 40 plus years of experience. We also have a handful of other individuals such as myself and my two brothers that have been officially with the company for 15 plus years. But along with that we've grown up in the industry. So we've been around it for a long time. So just between the three of us we have a wealth of knowledge. Then we have our dad who has 40 plus years and our other lead carpenter Scott who also has 40 plus years. They continually pass down that knowledge to us. We also have newer people on the team and we ensure that they're paired up with someone senior to them. So there's always a transfer of knowledge downhill. The history of our company goes back 40 years. When my dad, Dennis, the one of the owners of the company, the only owner of the company, decided to make a change. He grew up in a family of woodworkers and had many family members involved in carpentry and construction. One being his uncle who he looked up to. When he graduated high school, he did a couple of different jobs and then made the decision to enter the union and get involved in the trades where he did his apprenticeship program, gained a ton of knowledge. Once he met my mom, they decided to get married and that's when he thought it would be beneficial to be his own boss, have the chance to make more money. And that's when he founded Thompson Construction. A fear most customers, or some customers, may have is are they going to get what they pay for? It's hard to tell upfront when you're looking at bids from our company compared to someone else's company. We are very transparent in the way we bid. You will know that when you see our bid. It's laid out and it lays out every single step we're going to do, the dollar amounts, the allowances for materials that we put in there. But when you look at someone else's bid, they might not include those things. So, it's hard to know. Does their number allow for all this stuff? Are they missing stuff? Are they going to hit us with a change order after the fact to make up that missing item or missing dollars? And we don't operate that way. Our bids are 100% accurate. The only change order we're going to hit you with is if you make a change or add something to the project. We stand by our work and stand by our bids. We're family-owned, family-operated.
