>> I got into the industry, um, growing up in the Central Valley farming community. Uh, my family had, uh, a lot of, uh, ag land, and so I was plowing fields, grading roads. Um, eventually it got me connected to a friend of mine who, uh, was in the paving industry, and he got me set up, and I, I, I was about 16, 17, started learning the trade, and, um, the rest is kind of history, you know. Um, I, I developed, learned, learned the—from digging in the trenches, uh, worked my way up, and till now we're here owning a business. What inspired me to start my business was, um, you know, having, having the control over the job, the quality of the job you can do, uh, versus working for someone else where you have less control. You may be doing your job. Um, I think it, it naturally evolved to the place where I could, I was able to, to get my contractor's license and, and build something solid, uh, a company with a good reputation. I'd say the favorite thing about the work that I do is the relationships I get to build, um, the long-lasting quality projects that we get to leave, and we, you know, you're—we're not building something that's going to be gone in two or three years. This is something that's going to last for 20 to 30 years. So, I love the fact that we've exceeded a client's expectations, and we were able to deliver, um, and they're very satisfied and happy with the experience they had. And not only that, but every time you drive by a place, you can say, "Hey, I built that." Uh, with, with pride. I would say interesting job, uh, was the privilege, I think, of a lifetime, you know, really once-in-a-lifetime experience, I should say. And we got to build the infrastructure for Super Bowl 60 for the NFL over in Levi's Stadium. Uh, it was a very unique experience. We got to use our ADA skills and paving skills, concrete, um, seal coating to bring the event to life. And, uh, when it was all said and done, we got to tear it all out and transform it back to its, uh, uh, state we found it in. Um, and so that whole experience was, was mind-boggling to see the production and the level of quality and everything that goes into an event like that. And it was, um, it's really cool to be a part of that and with our team and, and everybody. I think important questions is, um, what is the prep work, uh, that goes into my concrete or, or asphalt. Um, I think that you have to build a solid foundation for your product to last the lifespan. And, you know, concrete typically should last, uh, 40 to 50 years, where asphalt should last you 25 to 30 years. Um, and that all comes to the preparation of what goes underneath, um, the product we're installing. So, I think that gets overlooked, and a lot of homeowners don't know that that's really important, or they know small aspects about it, but they don't know all of it. So, I think that's, those are good questions to ask your contractor. I can't really speak for other companies, but for us, it, it really comes down to the details, the communication, our ability to solve problems that arise in the field presented to the client. Um, we're find, find a solution and not compromise quality, 'cause we, we believe that quality is everything, and we, it comes down to straight lines, finishes, um, all those things that make a job just stand out and look amazing. >>
