Will you prime my surfaces before you paint them?

Yes. Primers have improved immensely over the years, and it’s very important to prime underneath paint so it has a better surface to adhere to.

How long should my paint last?

A quality paint job should last seven to 10 years.

Can you repair dry rot and other issues before you paint?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we take the time to look for sections that have dry rot or other problems before we start painting. We have the tools to replace trim and sections of siding as needed.

Question 4

Can you paint in any weather?

Accepted Answer

We have paint products that will dry in cooler conditions, so the cold isn’t usually a problem, but rain and moisture can be. We’ll use a moisture meter to check the surface of your home if we’re concerned about it. If the moisture level is too high or if it’s raining, we’ll need to reschedule. We can’t paint if there’s moisture on the surface because it’ll get trapped underneath the paint, which will cause gas pockets and lead to bubbling.

Question 5

Do you recommend single or double coats of paint on interior walls?

Accepted Answer

We usually recommend two coats of paint because they give a nicer finish and help cover the paint color underneath. However, if you’re going over an existing paint job with the same color, we may be able to leave it at one coat. We’ll let you know what we recommend when we bid your job.
