Dylan Evans: Turning Houses Into Homes
By Caitlyn Stair, Diamond Certified Resource Reporter
For Dylan Evans, construction has never been just about building walls and fixing spaces—it’s about creating homes where people feel inspired, comfortable and truly at ease.
Dylan’s introduction to construction and home renovation came from growing up around his grandparents’ building company. “My grandpa showed me how to use power tools when I was very young, and that’s how I first fell in love with building and creating,” he recalls. “I’ve always been good with my hands and able to put things together, so it just felt natural.”
Dylan went into a different field when he started working full-time, but it wasn’t long before he followed his passion and returned to construction. After spending a few years with a remodeling firm and learning the ins and outs of the industry, he decided to strike out on his own and established Dream Build Services in 2024. Today, he says his favorite part of his job is transforming spaces and helping clients bring their ideas to life. “I love the ‘before and after’—taking something not-so-great and turning it into a space that people truly enjoy. Ultimately, I just like collaborating with my clients to turn their dreams into reality.”
Originally from Yuba City, Dylan moved to the Bay Area in 2018 and currently resides in Fremont with his wife, Priscilla, and their infant son, Anthony. “My favorite part of Fremont is the diversity,” he says. “There are so many things you can do within this area and the weather is great, so it’s just a really nice place to live.” Outside of work, Dylan enjoys weightlifting, riding motorcycles, and outdoor activities like traveling and camping.
From a professional standpoint, Dylan believes strongly in the value of hard work, craftsmanship and building genuine relationships with his clients. Reflecting on his approach to both work and life, he follows one simple motto: “Do good and get good back.”
