Angelica Silva: Easy Going
By Matt Solis, Editor
When Angelica Silva first arrived in the Bay Area from her native Brazil in 2003, she took a job assisting her aunt with residential cleaning work. She didn’t know it at the time, but those early lessons—learning which cleaning products were safe for each surface and how to work efficiently without sacrificing care—would one day form the foundation of her own company. “I started by helping my aunt clean four houses a day, and then I began picking up extra clients on my own,” she recalls. “At first, I just wanted to increase my income, but word spread and within two years I had enough work to bring in a team.”
Angelica officially launched her own cleaning business in 2008 and created jobs for more than two dozen people over the ensuing years. In 2023, she rebranded the company as Easy Life Home Services and expanded beyond house cleaning to offer carpet care, pet sitting, dog walking, home organizing, and even personal assistant services. “I realized my clients needed more than just a clean house—they needed help managing their day-to-day lives,” she explains. “We give them their time back so they can focus on what really matters.”
Angelica lives in Concord with her husband, Cody, and their two children: Nicole, an aspiring lawyer headed to college, and Brian, a soccer-loving sixth grader. “My family is the most precious thing I have,” she says. “They’re my joy and motivation.”
Though her days are busy with work and parenting, Angelica still finds time for her favorite hobbies: reading, hiking, playing pickleball and going to the beach. Her faith also plays a central role in her life—she’s deeply involved with her church and serves twice a week. “I draw my strength, my energy and everything I know from God,” she affirms.
When asked what her life might look like if she retired tomorrow, Angelica says her first move would be boarding a cruise ship so she could start checking off items on her travel bucket list. “Greece, Africa, Europe…I want to see the world! But until then, I’ll keep helping people make their lives a little easier.”
