How can I make my pool more energy-efficient and less expensive to keep clean?

Pools need one turnover per day and all of that water needs to be filtered, which takes six to 12 hours depending on the size of your pool. However, if you have a variable-speed pump, you can run it for twice as long at half the speed and use 90 percent less energy than a traditional pool pump.
