How do you clean rugs?

Accepted Answer

Typically, it’s a full-immersion wash, which means we rinse the rug, apply a specialty cleanser, scrub the front and back, do another rinse, work on any fringes, and then rinse from the back to allow the water to flow through the entire piece. Throughout the process, we test how dirty the rug is to make sure we’re getting it completely clean. Once it’s clean, we recondition it to replace the moisture content of the fibers. This makes the rug more flexible, which can reduce wear and softens it to the touch. After it’s dry, we check the fringes and make sure all the spots and traffic patterns have come out.

Will you pick up and deliver my rug?

Yes, and there’s no extra charge for pickup and delivery.

How do you wrap rugs for storage?

Accepted Answer

We use Tyvek® HomeWrap®. It’s a breathable moisture barrier, so it allows the rug to breathe but no water or moisture can get in.

Is the soap you use safe for humans and animals?

Accepted Answer

We use Surfonic® surfactants, which are museum-grade, nontoxic cleansers. They also rinse out completely, so they won’t attract dirt to your rug after it’s clean.
