Hi, I'm Jeremy Owens. A couple quick tips and tricks for fire hardening your home. Uh, first thing is you need five feet of dispensable space around your exterior. So pavers or rocks around your entire home. 30 feet out, you need to maintain your trees and shrubs and decks. Make sure your trees are not coming over the top of your roof.
Clean out your gutters to make sure there's not a bunch of leaks in there. If you want to take a couple extra steps, you can get a class 1A fire rated exterior or a 1 hour firewall. This happens to be James Hardie Fiber Cement. This is cement based material here, as well as fiber cement in the soffits and the eaves, with underneath that Vulcan fire rated venting.
This home is 100 percent fire hardened and ready. If you want to take one extra step, you can install the Mighty Firebreaker Home Defense System. You can remote turn that thing on. Sprinklers go mitt over your entire roof and landscaping and walk away knowing that maybe you protected your home from fire.
