Today we're talking about tips to help homeowners fight against termites. The first tip I would say is to get regular inspections. If you get periodic inspections every three or four years you’re gonna be able to find the infestation a little bit sooner amd treat before it becomes too big of an issue. And you may have to fumigate.
I mention every three to four years getting an inspection because of all the different types of wood destroying organisms there are. We have different seasons of swarming termites, wood boring beetles that can infest your home at any time. But it usually does take a couple years for you to start actually noticing these wood boring insects. Once you do, you definitely want to call a termite company right away and we could do an inspection.
You should get your home treated right away before it becomes too big of an issue. I do see some homeowners that unfortunately don't get an inspection done very often, and let's say 20 years goes by now we've got tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage because they simply didn't get inspections done periodically.
