The second tip I have is that a lot of clients aren't very familiar with dry stack work as opposed to wet work, which involves cement or a mortar. When I'm doing these dry stack walls, a lot of times clients will ask, "Aren't you using a, a mortar or a glue?" And I say, "No. Actually, when you prepare a wall in a dry stack fashion, you have to lay the stone a certain way to where gravity and friction will do all the work for you."
Um, mortar and cement will crack over time, and if you prepare a wall in the dry stack fashion the way it's supposed to, it will last a lifetime without any cement cracking. Um, that also is in line with a lot of what clients want with a, a natural drought-resistant theme for their yard. Uh, this will keep the project a lot more natural, not involving cement.
