[music] We keep people safe by making sure that our crew uh and our salespeople that come out to the home are safe, that they're following all the protocols with gloves and masks, disinfectants, so that when you show up to your home, um there's very little chance of anyone infecting anyone in the home. So, we ask we also put up plastic um drop cloths uh whenever possible, we ask the people to, to not be there uh while we're working. Uh and if they do have to be there, that's fine. They just minimal contact, but we're always covered and they're we always feel we're taking good care of them while we're there. Training, uh we're constantly training. We just had someone in today uh to talk about our sealant and foam that we use around the windows. Um so we're always updating that. The other thing is systems, having systems in place so that you know while each house is not cookie-cutter, the systems are there in place to make sure that we're doing everything that we can uh to do it correctly and not miss anything. So having those systems in place uh keeps our quality at the highest level. Is the contractor insured? Uh do they have liability insurance, workers comp? Um as far as the product goes, are they offering more than one product? If they're offering just one product, it may may be good for your home and maybe not. They may be just trying to force the only thing that they have onto you. Um, another important thing is whether the crew, the people are actually doing the installation, are they employees or are they subcontractors? So, it's a subtle difference, but our company has employees and we can we have more control over someone than if they're a subcontractor, they may decide not to show up one day and had a better job somewhere else. So, it's that it's important. So recently I was up to see a client that we did all the windows in their house a couple years ago and we were going back to do a couple patio doors and uh while I was up there uh they showed me where the fires, the recent fires were, you know, at their fence line basically and their whole neighborhood was inundated by smoke and ash. Um, but they were saying that uh relative to some of their neighbors, their house had almost no uh smoke and ash inside their home. Um, actually was coming through the patio doors that we were going to replace, but their windows kept the smoke and ash out and it probably saved them, you know, tens of tens of thousands of dollars and or more in cleanup. Um, so they it was really nice to hear that and be rewarded the fact that our something we don't really tell the windows about keeping smoke and ash out of your house. Uh, but you know if if that's not getting in then you know uh unwanted air is not coming in there as well. The thing I like most is the people I work with and my customers. I get to go out uh to see the clients. I do once the job is sold uh I go out and do the final measuring. So I get to go out see people in their home. I ask them, you know, why they chose us and um it's just very rewarding. Uh and they're they're surprised to see the owner coming out to do the measure. Um so it's a it's um it's really rewarding to be able to go out and um spend time with the our clients. Helpful expertise means we're going to do the right thing for the client. Um, we're not going to sell them something they don't need or force something down their throat. Uh, we're going to go and talk to them, listen to them, find out what they need, and do whatever we can to help them get what they need. May we may not have what they need, but more more times than not, we do. Um, but we're not going to just um try to sell something that that's not going to be a good fit to them. So, it's really it's just who we are. We're we're just going to make sure they're getting the right thing at the right price and installed professionally. So, my longest employee is Miguel. Um, and he's been with me 23 years now. Um, so we go way back together and he he is just as much a part of who save energy is as I am. Um because he's the one that makes the job work and he's when the rubber hits the road, he's there uh doing the installs and he's just a delightful human being. Um very humble uh hardworking uh just a wonderful guy. As a matter of fact, I was able to go to his hometown in Mexico. I was visiting another place and he said, "I'm going to be there." So, we went to visit his hometown and uh it was great. It was great. I was, you know, uh, he just showed me around. It was a very small little town. He was thrilled to have his boss there. I was thrilled to be there. Uh, it was just a win-win and, uh, just made me appreciate him even more. And plus, he he bought, you know, he he owns a house here. He owns a house there in Mexico. So, it's been good experience for him. He's doing very well. We live in a beautiful Bay Area. Uh, so much outdoors. Um, I love to go out to, you know, marine headlands, Point Rays, go hiking. Um, with or without my dog. Usually I can't go my take my dog with me on the the national forest. But, uh, it's just it's just great to be here. Um, it's one of the reasons why I like to live where we live, uh, is to take advantage of that and go out and hike in the woods or hike on the beach. And uh for for me I like to just stop for a moment and I call it taking a moment and you just you know try not to think too much and just kind of meditate for a moment and just you could just feel yourself being in that uh being a part of everything and it's very restorative and you know I couldn't I couldn't keep doing what I do without taking those breaks to nourish myself and uh recharge the batteries.
