As a young man growing up in Jamaica, um, my dad, my brother, my older brother, and my uncle are plumber and general builders. However, my older brother specialized in plumbing. While we were growing up as a young man and in school, I would have to go to construction to watch my brother and my dad as they work. And while I'm there on the construction site during those holidays, I took an interest to plumbing and watched how my brother patiently um execute his plumbing task. It becomes like a puzzle to me, and or art, just to see how he brings all the different branches together and make it a complete plumbing system. And that always picked my interest that whatever I do in life, I wanted to be a plumber at the end of it. And here I am today with Albian Plumbing and Ro Incorporated. I was introduced to, um, I was introduced to the construction trade here in United States by a general contractor by the name of Roy Tully, who was paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. I volunteer with him, um, as a project manager for a period of time. During that time, I watch him struggle as a general contractor to manage a project from start to finish. During that time, I said I wanted to retire him from the struggle and the stress that he has to encounter on a daily basis. I started this plumbing company myself and my business partner Raymond Walters. We started a company and we retired him as our blueprint reader and given instruction. So while Raymond and I would be plumbing, Roy Tully would just sit there in his wheelchair, read the blueprints, and give Raymond and I instruction where the plumbing supposed to be on all the dimensions. So that would take a little bit more stress from him. However, in the first year of our license and business established, Roy Tully, um, uh, passed away. However, his legacy continues here through myself and Raymond Walters until this day. Uh, we just want to thank Roy Tully for what he has inspired in us and may his soul rest in peace. Roy Tully. We provide, uh, excellent and quality service through in-depth training and, uh, using analytical approach to problem solving. My background is coming from an industrial garment industrial sewing machine technician, which I've gone to many schools around the world for training. We have to use this analytical approach to solving a problem to ensure that the quality the machine provides quality stitching for the garment. I brought that background with me to the plumbing industry. So therefore, when we get to a plumbing situation, we analyze it based on what the situation is and approach it with a mechanical background to understand what the flow should be, what the plumbing code requires, the slope of the drain should be, what's the length of the run should be. So therefore, we are able to understand what the customer is relating to us by listening to the customer but also ensure that we are fully trained, got involved into advanced training such as plumbing school, such as sending our technicians, our young technicians to plumbing school, also attend other training from different manufacturing in the plumbing industry such as water heater training, drain laid out training, troubleshooting, installing different components of mixing valve. We have ensured that we are fully trained and we read a lot of instruction manuals for the different plumbing components, but we have also ensured that we study the plumbing code book for the state of California to ensure that when we are plumbing, not only are we plumbing per code, but we are also accommodating the customer. So when we finish the job, the customer will be happy that their input and their requirements are also integrated into the plumbing code and ensure that their property is plumbed to the correct requirements of them and the plumbing code. Also, in providing service, we use again our analytical approach to problem solving. Understand how the drain should be plumbed. So therefore, when a customer calls us and said they're having an issue with the stopped up drain or etc., etc., we first must understand how the drain should be plumbed and how the plumbing should be flowing. So therefore, we approach it from that point of view. So we're able to efficiently solve the problem in a timely manner and also execute that professionally. That is why Albian Plumbing and Rotor strive for excellency at all times. Thank you. This is very interesting to me and you might find this very interesting. Our first signed contract as a plumbing Albian Plumbing and Roder Company was in a city called San Geranimo in Marin County in the Bay Area where this new house was being built by our general contractor hired us to plumb this property. There is no city sewage to be connected to. There is no gas from the city in that area to be connected to. All the utilities that were there from the city were we have to then plum this building all drainage system to conform to the plumbing code for what is called accepted tank and a leash field. In this modern age in the state of California and the Bay Area, no sewage to be connected. So therefore, we have to plum the building and pipe it to what is called a septic tank that we install in the ground and then we have to install all these valves component with different branches of leash field to ensure that the liquid from the tank is then drained into the ground and distributed equally, makes the grass so green. But you understand that is sewage draining into the ground when sanitation of this age is that sewage should always go to the city. But in this county, they allow you to plum a septic tank and a leash field. That was my first time ever plumbing a septic tank with a leash field in this plumbing industry. We read the instruction manual. Myself and my business partner Rayma, we read the instruction manual. We followed the health code and we were able to install this system and pass all city, county, and health inspection for this house. Also, there was no natural gas from PG&E going to this property because it is so far off the main road. So what we did is purchase a metal gas tank, a safety tank, provide a concrete pad, install the tank to this concrete pad, and run all the gas pipes from this tank to this house and install all the proper regulators to ensure that the gas pressure is balanced throughout this house. Again, this was my first project as a company. This was my first time installing a tank and plumbed the gas pipe into the house and passed all my inspection. And that stays with me until this day. That one of the photo and my company website has my truck in front of that house because that one so many has resonated with me. But this one more than all resonated with me because it was the first contract that could have destroyed Albian Plumbing if we did not get it right. But praise be to the almighty God that we got it right and passed all our inspection and we became a master of septic tank plumbing and leash field in this Bay Area. Thank you. But we are honest. We are truthful and we're credible and we work very hard and we're not afraid to take on any challenge that a customer may call us into. Whether it's getting dirty into the sewage, crawling into the crawl space where there might be a rodent or some other animals inside there and crawl space might be dirty, we will do it. We also recognize that most customers do not understand what the plumbing is all about. But what they do understand is that they have a problem and they need a plumber that is honest, that is credible, that is knowledgeable, that at the end of it they know that they're going to bring results and their problem is going to be solved. And at Albian Plumbing and Router here, we strive for excellence. This company was founded by myself and Raymond Walters. When I started this company, I was 32 years of age. Raymond Walters was up there in his 50s. Today Raymond is 80 and I am 58 years of age. We started this company together and today we have several trucks, several employees, the hard work, dedication, honesty, truthfulness and the gentleness that we provided to our customer while we are still in this business today. We look forward to continue providing Ephraim more excellent service. We are trained. This week I received a letter from the plumbing, heating and cooling school that one of my plumber will be graduating from this school on May 22nd. That is how we invest in our employees to ensure that they receive the highest level of training in the craft. And we look forward to providing this kind of service and more. And as technology improves, we will also improve our education and background to ensure that we're here for you. Thank you. I'm going to speak today about my business partner who and I started this company, Raymond Walters. Legally blind, 80 plus years old, legally blind. However, he's now working in the office only [snorts], able to answer the phone, read blueprint, provide estimate and also be able to speak to customer directly with the wealth of knowledge and background that he has. He's still able to provide these kind of service to customer when they're called because of his experience. But someone that is legally blind, still able to read a blueprint, provide an estimate and do other administrative duties because the state of California has provided him with an equipment that provides the availability for him to put place the blueprint underneath it and able to see and read all of that. That is a blessing to have this kind of help and business partner that who now confined to working in the office with a major disability but still able to function. And I thank God for every day for his blessing upon this company and for continue to bless Raymond as Raymond able to provide services to have him in the office answers the phone and able to speak directly to customer. Someone who been in the plumbing industry for over 60 years. Very knowledgeable, very smart, still able to provide and to partake of his skill and his craft administratively. That is Raymond Walters, my business partner. Albian Plumbing and Roder Incorporated.
