Owner Robert Machado attributes much of Sonoma Coast Electric’s success to its customer-oriented business practices. “We take the time to explain what we’re doing so our clients understand why they’re experiencing electrical issues and how to prevent them from reoccurring,” he says. “We want them to know we’re always here to help, so if they have a small issue like a tripped breaker, we’ll often show them how to fix it instead of charging for a service call, which they appreciate.”

Sonoma Coast Electric is known for its ability to solve complicated electrical issues that other companies have difficulty handling. “Electrical troubleshooting is like doing a puzzle—you start taking things apart, testing wires and looking for problems,” says Mr. Machado. “When we can put our heads together and get the lights back on for a client, it’s a rewarding feeling.”
