The more often you have to change passwords, the harder they are to track and remember.&nbsp;</p> <p>It’s a common mistake to go with the first thing that comes to mind when choosing a password. In fact, the most used password in 2023 was “123456.” According to a study done by NordPass, most of the top 20 passwords in the world can be cracked in less than a second. Some widely used ones include “admin,” “password,” “unknown,” “111111” and “user.” First names are also popular passwords, especially in other countries.</p> <p>The best way to protect your accounts is to change passwords regularly and make sure they’re very long—up to 20 characters with numbers, symbols, and lowercase and uppercase letters. Experts advise against using the same password on multiple websites, which is something I have a bad habit of doing!
