While you really can’t go wrong either way, there’s a definite difference in the level of maintenance each requires.&nbsp;</p> <p>Natural stone tile has been around for a long time, and it’s available in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. In today’s age of synthetic materials, many consumers appreciate the fact that natural stone tile is both aesthetically attractive and thoroughly authentic. However, while its genuine beauty can enhance any space, keep in mind that like most natural products, stone tile requires periodic sealing to maintain its appearance and performance. You’ll also need to use a mild, sealer-friendly product to clean your tile, as an abrasive cleaner will cause its seal to wear prematurely.</p> <p>For those less resolute on installing a natural material, another option to consider is an artificial tile product like porcelain. Porcelain has come a long way since it was first introduced as a tiling material, and it’s now available in many of the same colors, shapes, and sizes as its natural counterparts.
