Victoria Redding: Designing Spaces, Building Connections
By Caitlyn Stair, Diamond Certified Research Reporter
Even as a child, Victoria Redding loved designing. She would constantly rearrange her bedroom, shifting furniture and reworking layouts to create unique looks. In hindsight, those early experiments were signs of a creative instinct that would shape her career. “I always loved changing spaces and making them feel different,” she recalls. “I just didn’t realize at the time that it could become a profession!”
Victoria originally considered pursuing a medical career, but she ultimately decided to stick with her passion and enrolled in Las Positas College’s Interior Design program. After graduating with several business-related degrees, she set out to find a design position that would allow her to grow professionally. In 2024, she landed at Top Remodeling & Design, Inc. and quickly discovered an entirely new side of the industry. “I thought I wanted to focus strictly on design, but when I got into remodeling, it opened up a whole new world,” she says.
Today, as one of Top Remodeling & Design’s interior designers, Victoria helps homeowners bring their remodeling visions to life by guiding them through material selections and design decisions. While she still loves seeing dramatic “before and after” transformations, she says the highlights of her job are the relationships she builds along the way. “The client communication is my favorite part. Being able to connect with people and see how a project changes their lives is incredibly rewarding.”
Victoria believes successful remodeling projects are built on clear communication and responsiveness. She encourages clients to voice concerns as soon as they arise and works diligently to address questions quickly and professionally. “Communication is number one,” she affirms. “If there’s a question or concern, we want to review it immediately and work through it together.”
A lifelong Bay Area resident, Victoria grew up in Byron and spent time throughout Contra Costa County before settling in Walnut Creek. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, exploring local restaurants and spending time with her three cats, Anna, Oliver, and Byron. Acrylic painting has also become a favorite creative outlet, with many of her works inspired by the floral gardens, beaches and tide pools that can be found along the Northern California coast.
Whether she’s working with clients or approaching challenges in her personal life, Victoria strives to be dependable and follow through on her commitments. “If I say something, I mean it,” she asserts. “Even if there’s a complication, we’ll work through it. It all comes back to communication.”
