Video: Touching Up Painted Walls

So one of the questions I get asked about when we're done with most of our projects is if a customer wanted to take on touch-ups on their own because they're small touch-ups and obviously they don't need us to come back to do them, how would they go about that? And I always tell them, "It depends on the surface. It depends on the sheen, and it depends on the roller that you're trying to use." 

Every single surface has its own variation of roller thickness, its own little finesse in how you do it, and just everything has its little detail, which you can do, it's just a matter of knowing how to do it. So definitely when you're doing an eggshell wall, it's a matter of using the right roller, more than likely it'd be a half inch, and either basically feathering it in, not using too much paint, a dryer roller, and then just basically finessing the roll when you're touching it up and feathering it from the inside out.
