Garage Door Maintenance

Like any mechanical device, a garage door has a lot of moving parts that require periodic maintenance. Fortunately, maintenance is pretty simple for a garage door. All you need to do is lubricate its rollers, hinges and other moving parts with a white lithium or silicon spray. By doing this twice a year, you’ll keep your garage door operating smoothly, as well as extend its life span and avoid costly repairs.

Keep in mind that if your garage door makes a lot of noise while opening and closing, this should raise a red flag. Lubrication may not always do the trick, so if your door is still noisy despite ongoing maintenance, call your local garage service company to schedule a professional assessment.
