I just found a website called <a href="https://missingmoney.com/" target="_self">MissingMoney.com</a> where you can search for unclaimed property (inactive financial assets) in all U.S. states and some Canadian provinces. The National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators (NAUPA) and the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST) have partnered to provide the public with a search tool that’s safe, secure, and free.&nbsp;
I was curious to find out if I had any unclaimed money from companies or banks (or anyone else for that matter). It was easy enough to run a search using my first and last names, and lo and behold, I found an unclaimed amount from an old share of stock for $3.76! The next step is to file a claim (you just click a button) and follow the instructions in order to be verified. Once verified, you’ll receive your money. More than $3 billion were returned to the rightful owners last year, and the average claim value is around $2,000.&nbsp;
