When you start choosing a contractor, one of my recommendations is to check out their negative reviews, the one- or two-star ones, because everyone is happy in the five-star reviews. Look at what actually happened to cause those clients to post a complaint, and at how the business handled it and responded. By checking multiple one-star reviews, you may also find certain patterns that show a different side of the contractor.
So I highly recommend you don’t just check the number of reviews and the star rating. Dive deeper, sort for the negative reviews, and see what happened there and how the contractor actually handled them.
