Hi, my name is Dave Weiss, and I am the owner of Four Paws Pet Ranch and Countryside Animal Rescue. We provide boarding, daycare, grooming, and training services. [laughter] For cats, dogs, and exotic pets. We also, as I said, have an animal rescue where we re-home abandoned and homeless animals in the community. Besides offering a huge space for dogs to run around and play in, we really focus a lot on the science of the dog and what they need coming from wolves and that mentality. And how do we give them a really enjoyable fun day. I like to say I like dogs to be happy when they get here and happy when they go home, and hopefully go home tired. Uh, first off, everyone on our team are animal lovers. Uh, we we look for that whenever we hire. Everyone is trained. We have people on staff that are trained in CPR, can deal with certain medical emergencies if they should arise right away. But I can tell you everyone here is just animal-centric. We are a a BBB A+ business. We are the only kennel diamond certified in Sonoma County. Uh, we also are a Nextdoor Favorite. Uh, we've also won some community service awards for outreach and things we've done with people with special needs as well as animals with special needs. The story that always comes to mind is we have, you know, dogs that were here and, you know, they're boarding, they're doing their thing, and this this dog was staying with us for for a while, and the the yard people just noticed something was off about the dog. And so we decided to take the dog to the vet, and it turned out that the dog had an internal issue. And because of us recognizing that there was a difference in the dog, we literally saved the dog's life. And that's actually happened a couple times for us. I would have to go back to why did I start this? Years ago, when I was in the corporate world, I went from corporate to canine. And um, I never was really happy with places where I had to put my dog. I had a German Shepherd. That's a working breed. They They need to get out. They need to run around. And when I started this, I said, I want to make a facility that's for the dog. The dogs don't need a hotel room per se. They need running room. They need fresh air. They need to be engaged. Uh, we do enrichments with our dogs and and whatnot. They have to be engaged, otherwise they get bored. And a bored dog is a dog that's going to find a way to entertain itself. And that's when trouble ensues. So, we have them out here at Four Paws Pet Ranch, which is care you can feel, love you can trust, just like home. And we really take that to heart. We want our customers to be happy and confident and know that their pet is being well taken care of. And if anything emergency should arise, we're on top of it right away.
