How soon can you start my project?

Accepted Answer

It depends on our schedule, but once you sign the contract we’ll get you on our calendar as soon as possible. If you have a start date in mind, we can usually schedule ahead.

Question 2

What does your payment schedule look like?

Accepted Answer

The down payment is usually $1,000 or 10 percent of the job, whichever is less. For the average project, we set up three or four payments. Those are based on our progress, so you only pay as the job advances.

Question 3

Who will buy the materials?

Accepted Answer

We’re happy to buy the materials, and we’ll let you choose the finish materials so you get exactly what you want. We can recommend flooring and décor stores, but you can go anywhere—just let us know the SKU number and we’ll order the correct amount. We’ll leave an allowance for each item in the estimate, which will help you stay on budget. We’ll also handle the materials and transport them to the jobsite.

How will you keep my house clean while you’re working?

We’ll start by covering all the flooring and furniture, and once work gets underway, we’ll take steps to mitigate dust and haul away trash to keep things organized. Construction is never entirely clean, but we’ll do our best to keep your home as clean as possible.

Question 5

Can you do anything to make the remodeling process go faster?

Accepted Answer

You can speed up the process by using GoBoard instead of the traditional Hardie Backer Board. GoBoard is a foam board with a special layer that makes it very light and easily cuttable. It’s fully waterproof, so we only need to seal the fasteners and edges. It’s far lighter than cement board and it doesn’t need to be waterproofed with additional membranes. Also, it can be installed quickly and easily, which saves on labor costs.
