Jason Nesbitt: A Higher Standard
By Caitlyn Stair, Diamond Certified Research Reporter
For Jason Nesbitt, a strong roofing company begins with the people behind it. Since purchasing Keith Roofing Company, he has focused on building a dependable team and creating a workplace culture rooted in respect, honesty, and trust.
Jason’s path to the roofing industry began through real estate investing, which gave him extensive experience with construction. As he looked for opportunities to bring more of that work in-house, he began speaking with several roofing companies and eventually landed on Keith Roofing Company. He started discussing the company with its previous owner in 2023 and officially took over operations the following year.
From a business perspective, Jason was drawn to roofing because it provides an essential service that homeowners will always need, regardless of the state of the economy. Personally, he says his favorite aspect of his job is shaping Keith Roofing Company from within. “I like creating a company culture that carries over into every customer interaction. We stand behind our work and respect our clients, and I’m very proud of that.”
Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Jason has lived in the Bay Area since 2014 and currently resides in San Jose. Coming from the Northeast, he says the Bay Area’s mild climate and easy access to outdoor recreation are now things he could never give up. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling; riding motorcycles; and spending time with his three daughters, Aliah, Aisla, and Olivia.
Whether he’s leading his employees or spending time with his family, Jason believes cooperation is the foundation of lasting success. His approach to business ownership combines careful leadership with a clear set of values, helping create an environment where employees can work together and customers can feel confident in the company they hire. “Teamwork makes the dream work,” he offers.
