Bar Tzidon: A Good Balance

Technical skill is essential in the roofing industry, but for Bar Tzidon, the work is ultimately about people. His path into roofing began in the broader world of construction, where he worked as a project manager for a general contractor. But even then, he says he found himself drawn to exterior work. “I’ve always leaned toward outside projects, so roofing just came naturally to me. I was good at figuring out why a roof was leaking or why something wasn’t working.”

In 2019, those instincts led to a complete career shift. Bar built his roofing experience by working with a contractor for several years, strengthening his technical knowledge while also discovering what he enjoyed most about the trade: diagnosing issues and finding practical, lasting solutions. In 2022, he took the step into entrepreneurship and launched Infinity Roofers Inc.

Today, Bar’s approach to roofing is defined by hands-on involvement and a strong emphasis on customer connections. Rather than staying removed from day-to-day work, he prioritizes being in the field and directly engaging with his clients. “I really enjoy meeting people,” he affirms. “Plus, every home has a different problem to solve, which keeps things interesting.”

That problem-solving mindset shapes how Infinity Roofers operates. Instead of offering “one size fits all” answers, Bar and his team focus on evaluating each situation individually and recommending tailored solutions. His background in construction management supports that process, but he credits his curiosity for driving the company’s ongoing improvement. “If I see something done well, I want to understand it,” he explains. “After that, I think about how we can do it even better.”

A resident of Woodland Hills, Bar appreciates the quiet pace of life in the San Fernando Valley. “It feels calm and spread out compared to L.A.,” he says. “It’s just a nice place to come home to.”

At home, Bar and his wife enjoy a relaxed balance of routines, from walking in their neighborhood to cooking and watching movies together. “Sometimes we go out, but sometimes we just stay home and relax, so it’s a good balance,” he says. Outside of work, Bar enjoys staying active by surfing, cycling, skateboarding and playing tennis.

If given the opportunity to retire tomorrow, Bar says he would take advantage of the extra free time to travel more, but he admits that he doesn’t see himself fully stepping away from work. “I don’t think I’ll ever completely retire. I like building things and staying active. It’s just part of who I am.”

Q: If you could immediately travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: Costa Rica. I’ve been there many times and I really love it. The nature, people and surfing are amazing.

Q: Have you ever read a book more than once?
A: I’ve read “Rich Dad Poor Dad” four or five times.

Q: What are your favorite movie genres?
A: Comedy and action.
