The Woerners have owned and operated Clayton Valley Hardwood Floor Co. since 1992. They pride themselves on being conscious of their customers’ needs. “We understand that when someone has flooring installed, they’re inconvenienced,” says Steve Woerner. “Their furniture is out of the house and, often, they need to vacate until the work is completed. That’s why our priority is getting the job done right and on time, so they’re back to normal in a timely manner.”
Clayton Valley Hardwood Floor Co. also promotes a clean workspace. Not only is it a courtesy to homeowners, says Mr. Woerner, but many finishing materials are flammable, and if they’re not removed at the end of each workday, they can create a fire hazard. In addition to diligently cleaning up, the company makes extensive use of dust curtains and masking to keep sanding dust from infiltrating the rest of a house.
