The Process for Disputing Credit Card Charges

That’s because you have the right to dispute a credit card charge if something goes wrong with the transaction. You can dispute fraudulent charges, as well as charges for defective or missing goods or services. You can even dispute a charge made by an unauthorized family member. The last time I had a dispute, I started by calling the number on the back of my credit card and explaining the situation. You can also submit a dispute online or through a mobile app. You’ll be asked for copies of relevant receipts, contracts and communications.
