Noe Silva: Pursuit of a Dream
By Caitlyn Stair, Diamond Certified Research Reporter
For Noe Silva, owning a business in the United States began as a dream formed thousands of miles away in Brazil. “When I was 21, I had a vision of coming to the U.S. to find better opportunities,” he recalls. “My cousin moved here in 1999 and would always talk about it, so I decided to visit and fell in love with the place. After my third visit, I decided to move here.”
What started as a leap of faith eventually developed into a career in the janitorial industry, where Noe steadily built experience and a client base over time. He officially founded Premier Janitorial SF, a division of House Cleaning SF, LLC., in 2022 to serve a broad range of clients, with services that range from weekly to monthly and even quarterly schedules.
As Premier Janitorial SF expanded, Noe shifted its focus from primarily residential work to include commercial cleaning and more specialized services. He says a significant part of that growth has come from working on short-term rental properties. “I do a lot of Airbnb turnover cleaning. It’s good business and I have great reviews.”
Attention to detail, communication and consistency are central to Noe’s approach. “If there’s any damage in the house, I take pictures and report everything,” he says, emphasizing his process of documenting conditions before and after each job. He remains deeply hands-on in his business, often working directly in the field. “I go to the commercial and residential sites, explain the cleaning, and go over the full project list.”
That same hands-on mindset extends to how he leads his team. “There are new products and procedures about every six months in this industry, so I train our employees and make sure they’re up-to-date on everything. That way, I can make sure we’re aligned with our clients’ expectations.”
Outside of work, Noe maintains an active lifestyle. “I mountain bike outside almost every day,” he says. “I also like camping, barbecuing and spending time with my family.”
After nearly two decades in the Bay Area, Noe has built a life grounded in the opportunity he once came searching for. At its core, his story is about turning aspiration into reality through persistence. For him, the American Dream isn’t abstract—it’s lived daily through his work, his family and the business he continues to build in the place he now calls home.
Ask Me Anything!
Q: Do you prefer being somewhere cold or somewhere hot?
A: Somewhere hot. My wife actually loves the snow, but I don’t like it much. I’ll go sometimes for vacation, but then I’m ready to come back home to the warm weather.
Q: What are some of your favorite bands?
A: I like U2 and Coldplay, and I also listen to a lot of Brazilian bands.
Q: What’s the first thing you’d do if you could retire tomorrow?
A: Spend more time enjoying the outdoors. I want to get an electric mountain bike so I can ride straight from my house into the mountains.
Q: If you could time-travel, would you go to the past or the future?
A: The past. It would give me the chance to revisit and appreciate important moments and experiences.
