Andre Carvalho: Inspired by Transformation
By Caitlyn Stair, Diamond Certified Research Reporter
For Andre Carvalho, remodeling is about creating something that homeowners can be proud of while treating them with respect throughout the process. Whether he’s renovating a kitchen or transforming an outdated bathroom, his goal is to deliver exceptional results while providing a memorable experience.
Andre’s journey into the remodeling industry began early in his construction career. His first employer specialized in kitchen and bathroom renovations, which gave him hands-on experience in the trades that would eventually shape his future. While he also worked on large deck projects, he found himself drawn to interior renovations and the dramatic transformations they offered. “I’m comfortable in this area because it’s where I learned the trade,” he says.
As Andre gained experience, he discovered that the most rewarding part of his work wasn’t the construction itself—it was seeing the finished results. “I really love seeing the transformation,” he affirms. “When I can take an old bathroom and turn it into something clean and properly finished, it’s a great feeling.”
Over time, Andre also noticed that too many homeowners were having negative experiences with contractors. Determined to do things differently, he founded Masterpiece Remodeling Inc. in 2024. “My friend actually suggested the name ‘Masterpiece’ and I immediately connected with it,” he says. “That’s what we try to do—create something special for our clients.”
Today, Andre prides himself on being transparent with homeowners, avoiding unnecessary change orders and communicating clearly throughout their projects. “We’re not perfect, but we try to be as fair as possible,” he says. “I saw many bad experiences before I started this company, so I wanted to make a difference.”
Originally from Brazil, Andre has called the Bay Area home for nearly a decade. He currently lives in Novato with his wife, Ariella, and their two children, Heitor and Helena. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring Northern California’s numerous outdoor destinations. He’s also an avid dirt bike enthusiast who says riding trails is his passion.
For Andre, success isn’t measured solely by growth or profits—it’s measured by doing right by people. Whether he’s helping a homeowner reimagine a space or building relationships that last long after a project is complete, he remains committed to the principles that inspired him to start his company in the first place. “We try to do our best every day,” he offers. “That’s what matters most.”
