How to choose the right countertop material. Nowadays, there are multiple countertop materials that customers choose for their kitchen or bath remodels. The main, most popular countertop material is quartz. Quartz is a manmade product and it has quartz and resin in it. And so the main thing with that material is that you do not wanna put A hot pot or a hot pan on it because you potentially could have a reaction when the cold and the heat meet each other and it could crack your countertop.
Another newer product that is out there is porcelain and people are using porcelain for their countertops. They're large slabs of porcelain, but they are thinner, so You don't have quite of you don't have as thick of an edge around your sink. And potentially it could chip, but you can put hot products on it. A lot of times we use the porcelain for shower walls.
Another option would be wood, which is a great warm feel to your kitchen a lot of times on islands and things like that. But you have to be cautious of water.
The fourth product is natural stone. You could use granite, marble, or quartzite. They're all absolutely beautiful, but they do need to be sealed. Marble would need to be sealed about every three months. Granite and quartzite would need to be sealed about every six months. They offer polished and honed And so you can't go wrong with any of those options. You just have to be aware of possible Problems that might occur if you do not treat them the way they need to be treated.
