Video: Choosing the Right Plants for Foundation Beds

with Scott McIntyre of Landscape Solutions

Most of the homes in the South Bay Area the foundation Planter beds are actually well suited for dwarf plants that stay smaller. For example, Some varieties of Pittosporums grow to be 20 feet tall. Some grow to eight feet tall. Some grow to five feet tall, some stay under three feet tall, and along the foundation bed Typically where there are windows, you would typically want a plant that stays under three feet tall because otherwise they get too big. The maintenance becomes increased, requires more water, and the scale of the plant looks out of place. So keep that in mind next time you're choosing your plants for your foundation beds.
