It’s not necessary, but a builder who also does the design can often give you a more cohesive project. If an experienced builder designs it, it’s less likely that it’ll be difficult to complete.

It’s pretty simple—we’ll just come to your home and meet with you to get a sense of what you’re looking for. After we look at your home and determine your goals, we’ll generate drawings and give you a preliminary estimate.

Yes, but it's quite easy to test to make sure your home is free of toxic chemicals.

Will you preserve the historic nature of my home?

Absolutely. We’ll remove all the items that are in good condition, like redwood trim, and install new materials underneath to keep your house watertight before adding the existing historical materials back on top.

How is thermal imaging used during the remodeling process?

Thermal imaging is a newer technology that we use to scan buildings for heat loss, water intrusion and cold spots. Variations in the imaging show us potential problem areas, which means we can see things we wouldn’t be able to see just by looking at the outside of the home.
