How to Change Doctors

Ugh. Most of us are reluctant to <a href=https://www.diamondcertified.org/time-to-change-doctors/ target=_self>switch doctors</a>, even when we’re not completely satisfied. It’s a hassle to find someone in the first place, and then you have to wait weeks for a new patient appointment and fill out medical history and insurance forms all over again.</p> <p>The logical first step is to find out who takes your insurance and get recommendations from family and friends. Another step, which is often overlooked, is checking out a doctor’s license with the Medical Board of California (MBC). On the MBC’s <a href=https://www.mbc.ca.gov/ target=_blank>website</a>, you can search by a doctor’s last name and first initial. At the bottom of the page, you’ll find license details and any disciplinary actions taken against the doctor.
