The Certification

Our rigorous 12-step company certification process is the most reliable anywhere. We survey a large random sample of only REAL customers by telephone to get the most accurate rating and to verify that only actual customers are responding. By surveying from a company's entire customer base, we ensure that the results of our study, good or bad, truly represent their company's customer satisfaction level.

Companies must score Highest in Quality in customer satisfaction, a 90+ on a 100 scale, and pass all of our credential-based ratings. By requiring such a high score to qualify, we cut out mediocre and poorly performing companies. We then conduct ongoing research and ratings to ensure all companies maintain their high performance.

The Research and Rating Certification Process

1. APPLY
Companies must apply to be certified.

 

2. SAMPLE
A random sample of typically 400 past customers is pulled from all customer files of the applicant company.

     

3. SURVEY
A confidential telephone survey captures the customer satisfaction score based on quality.

 

4. TABULATION
The quality score is tabulated. To qualify, a company must score 90 or higher on a 100 scale.

5. CREDENTIALS
Credentials are independently rated for license, insurance, complaint status and credit for contractors.
  6. PRACTICES
Are the company’s business practices "customer friendly"? It must stand behind its performance.

7. AGREEMENT
The company agrees to adhere to the Diamond Certified Customer Satisfaction Principles.
  8. AWARD
If quality and credential rating, as well as business practices qualify, the company is awarded Diamond Certified.
     

Ongoing Customer Satisfaction and Performance is Required

9. MONITORING
We monitor credentials and complaints and conduct ongoing customer surveys.
  10. MEDIATION
If ever necessary, the company has agreed to participate in Diamond Certified mediation.
     

11. GUARANTEE
You are backed by the Diamond Certified Performance Guarantee.

  12. QUALITY
The Company commits to ongoing quality ratings in customer satisfaction.
     

Criminal Background Checks Are Not Conducted: The rating steps that we conduct are described on this page. We do not conduct criminal background checks.
