Mark Byington is an electrical engineer with 25 years of experience here in Silicon Valley. Founded in 2003, his company, Cobalt Power Systems, specializes in designing and installing photovoltaic (solar electric or PV) systems for homeowners and businesses.

PV systems are both friendly to the environment and a great financial investment. PV systems generate clean power from natural sunlight and replace power generated from non-renewable sources such as fossil fuels. By spinning your electric meter backwards during peak time, you can actually sell power to the utility at twice the rate that you buy it back at night and on weekends. Each PV system is designed by an experienced electrical engineer. The design is optimized for the specific needs of the customer, including physical site dimensions, orientation, tilt angle, electricity consumption, and budget. Only the finest materials are used in the installation of each system, including all stainless steel hardware, high temperature polyurethane roof sealant, oversized wire for low power loss, and proven solar panels and inverters
with the best warranty in the business.
