Santa Cruz Rug, Carpet & Upholstery Cleaners opened its doors in 1947, and while many things have changed over the years, it is still family owned and operated and continues to provide the highest standard of service - standards established by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Industry). Bill and Kim Adams took on the task of perpetuating that legacy when they took over ownership of the company in 1997.

The company is Santa Cruz’s oldest, largest and most knowledgeable rug, in-home carpet, upholstery and specialty cleaners. They specialize in the proper maintenance and hand cleaning of all types of area rugs – from rare and handknotted rugs to modern synthetics. In addition, they’re experts with wall-to-wall carpeting, upholstery and specialty fabrics including leather, as well as urine and odor removal, deodorization, fabric protection, and expert hand-knotted rug repairs, just to name a few. If it’s cleanable, Santa Cruz Rug can clean it.

Santa Cruz Rug Cleaners has earned the highest designation the IICRC has to offer: Master Textile Cleaner, Master Fire & Smoke Restorer and Master Water Restorer and is the only company in Northern California rated a Master Area Rug Cleaner. They have been named Best Carpet Cleaner in Santa Cruz County for several years.
