Colette established the business to address the needs of discerning clients—the kind who seeks top-quality workmanship and the service to back it up. She has lived and worked in San Francisco for twelve years, and comes from a large family of builders in Ireland.

The company has completed remodeling projects throughout the Bay Area, including updating old kitchens and bathrooms into modern masterpieces, to putting in new foundations and large additions. They promote a collaborative, teamwork approach that includes clear communication between all: sub-contractors, designers/architects, inspectors and the most important team member of all—the customer. Everybody goes the extra mile to manage the details while staying on schedule and keeping costs under control. In 2008, Cummins Construction was rated among the “Top Ten Contractors” in San Francisco by “The Prime Buyers Report”. In 2008, Colette also completed a nine month program with the National Sustainable Building Advisor Program to become a Sustainable Building Advisor, which adds to her Green Building Professional Qualification received in 2006.
