Get the warranties in writing. They should cover the length of time as well as limitations. These written warranties should cover materials and workmanship, along with the names and addresses of the warrantor. This may include the contractor, manufacturer, and distributor. The contract should include the following:

  • How changes to pressure washing project and/or disputes are handled
  • Any oral promises that are made.
  • Structure of the payments and the schedule
  • Detailed description of pressure washing project
  • Material cost and type of materials used
  • A clear, concise, and complete description of the pressure washing project, including start and completion dates.
  • Company's name, physical address, mailing address and phone number.

Precautions for the Pressure Washing Project

Taking precautions will help protect you and your pressure washing project. It will also increase your chances of success. Consider these guidelines:

  • Never agree to finance your project through your contractor. Shop around for better loan terms.
  • Agree to make payments as the pressure washing project progresses, contingent upon the completion of a determined amount of work. This way, if work on the project is delayed, payment will be delayed as well.
  • Do not sign a contract that uses vague terms. Make sure that all terms are specific regarding project requirements and the work that will be performed.
  • Don't sign a contract or any document until you have thoroughly read through it and filled in any blank spaces.
  • Do not make your final payment until the work that is completed meets the agreed upon specifications and building code requirements.

If you have faithfully followed all of the above steps, you can feel confident that you have hired the best San Mateo County pressure washing company for the job in the major cities including Daly City, San Mateo, Redwood City, South San Francisco, and Pacifica. You have done your research, made comparisons, negotiated for a fair price, and signed a written contract. Now all that is left is for you to sit back and imagine how clean your home will look once your pressure washing project is completed.

thermal relief valve

This valve is used to alleviate the over heated water in a pump when the trigger gun is left in the off position with the engine and pump running. As the machine continues to run the water in by-pass mode will heat up causing damage to the pump. The thermal relief valve will release the water allowing cool water to flow into the pump preventing any damage.

trigger gun

A trigger gun is used to control water flow.

unloader valve

This valve permits water to bypass in the pump head when the trigger gun is in the closed position. This will prevent pressure build up and possible damage to the equipment.

wand

A device that is used to extend the water away from the trigger gun. Spray tips connect to the end of the wand. Wands come in various lengths which can be extended up to 24'. The majority wands are made of aluminum, but some telescoping wands can be fiberglass.
