Steven Katkowsky has over four decades of hands-on experience in every aspect of the remodeling business. As founder and owner of Steven’s Incredible Kitchen Machine, he’s been designer, salesperson and craftsman on nearly every project he’s undertaken.
As a construction professional, Mr. Katkowsky understands the pitfalls and challenges associated with the home improvement process. As a craftsman, he thinks outside the box, devising original designs and creative solutions. Steven is known for his artistic flair and his unique ability to maximize functionality and storage, even when precious space is minimal. Never taking a cookie-cutter approach, Mr. Katkowsky says that each kitchen and bathroom he completes is a work of art produced with hand-selected materials, from the choice of wood varieties to flooring materials to hardware and fixtures. “Your room won’t look like anybody else’s,” he says.
Mr. Katkowsky has authored “Danger: Construction Zone,” a guide on how to survive (and thrive) during the remodeling experience. He also lectures throughout the country and can be seen on national television speaking on kitchen and bath design. He brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to every project, making the process a positive one. You can learn more about Mr. Katkowsky at www.stevenkatkowsky.com.
“When the customer writes us a check at the end of the job, it’s because they want to, not because they have to. The job isn’t finished until everybody is completely happy with it. You’ll absolutely love your kitchen or bathroom, or else….well, there isn’t an ‘or else’…you’ll absolutely love your kitchen or bathroom!”

"I would give him a '12' if I could. We've already had him back again for other jobs. All of the people that come out treat each other and us like family. They are very respectful. The people who laid the tile were such artists. Watching them was like poetry in motion. Steven has a barbeque every September for everyone whose kitchen he has done. We still go to those. It's like a family reunion."
"It was the best experience in the world. He was the contractor/designer on my job. His attention to detail was very important to me, as was his personal attention. For the 4 months they were working on the job, 3 out of 5 days he called me to let me know what was going on. The other thing that is really important to me is that he is still available if I have any questions two years later after the job was finished."
