Owner Paul Demosthenes began his career as a painting apprentice and was trained in the profession’s many nuances. He later became a member of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America and started his eponymous company in 1979. “I’m comfortable using my name as the company name,” he says, “because we’ve earned a fantastic reputation by treating people right.”

Rather than merely picking colors off a chip, which can be a deceptive task, Mr. Demosthenes actually creates colors on a tint rack. “I can ‘warm’ or ‘cool’ any color a client chooses,” he says, “so there’s never a need to stop doing work and run to the paint store to get another quart for another sample.”

I answer clients’ inquiries and promptly return their phone messages. Clients can always reach me on my cell phone, even on Saturdays.
