Ozsport
Campbell-based auto shop Ozsport was born under atypical circumstances—its owners, James Osborn and Jonathan Tufts, used to be industry competitors. In 2009, they put their differences aside and opened a shop to serve Santa Clara County’s Volkswagen community. Ozsport services all European vehicles, but the German-made “people’s car” is its specialty. “John and I are Volkswagen enthusiasts,” confirms Mr. Osborn. “That’s what we’re passionate about, but we also have a lot of training in BMW and Mercedes.”
Ozsport features factory equipment that’s specifically designed for European vehicles, so it’s able to offer the same services as a dealership, including oil, clutch, timing belt, and brake work. In addition to dealership-quality service, the company focuses on a distinctive customer service approach. “We make sure customers are informed and involved during the whole process,” says Mr. Osborn. “People feel comfortable here because they get to see what we do. They don’t just drop their car off and come back later.”

If people understand what repairs we’re doing and why they’re necessary, they’ll feel more comfortable with the process. We treat our customers like our friends.
