Family owned and operated since 1983, North Bay Painting & Wood Preserving is the largest company of its kind in the Bay Area. Owner Phil Makin entered the business as a small painting contractor. He encouraged family members to join him to help develop and grow the business to what it has become today. The family possesses a strong work ethic and genuine pride for their work. These were the core values from which North Bay Painting & Wood Preserving was built, and those values still prevail.
North Bay Painting & Wood Preserving is the authority on wood preservation and restoration. They can rejuvenate wood shingles, siding, decks, fences and all natural wood surfaces and often save you the time and expense of replacing them. Their multi-step approach begins with power washing to clean surfaces, removing dirt, discoloration and organic growth. Surfaces are restored back very close to their original wood color. A unique oil preservative is then applied to seal and protect the wood from the organic growth, damaging UVA and UVB rays, future wood rot and will repel water.
North Bay Painting & Wood Preserving employs a crew of more than 30 experienced painters who will work with your decorators, architects and other contractors. Cabinet painting, staining and handyman work is also available. Large or small jobs are welcome and estimates are always free.
“Much of our work comes from referrals, so it’s important to cultivate happy clients. Moreover, it really matters to us what people think of our work and the service we provide. It’s our family name and reputation that we’re upholding after all. We also just enjoy establishing relationships and working with people. There’s genuine heart behind everything we do.”
