First of all, sprayed foam is absolutely waterproof, and is the 'only' insulation material used in roofing that does not soak up water. Secondly, it is strong and lightweight, reducing stress on the structure. Thirdly, it is the very best insulator. Fourth, it can be built-up to displace areas of standing water.
This is the only kind of roof that is 'renewable'. They haven't needed to replace any of their roofs for 29 years. It is not required, but smart to 'renew' the roof surface after the first five years. This is the easiest time to apply an additional surface coating. After that, the roof should be re-coated at about 25 years. It is a great idea to re-coat right before a property is sold, so the buyer has a Guarantee and a clean Roof Inspection.
Sometimes owners are not ready for their Solar Center to install SunPower solar along with the roof. For about $1,200 their Dura-Foam Solar Center can install their solar supports along with the new roof. This allows them to install the Photovoltaic (PV) Solar later without disturbing the roof.
