Dave’s German Auto is a San Jose-based repair shop that services and maintains foreign and domestic vehicles for Santa Clara County motorists. It offers a complete range of repairs, including tune-ups, suspension work, diagnostics, timing belt replacements and more. As indicated by its name, the company has special expertise in Audis, Volkswagens and other German models, but it’s qualified to work on all vehicles.
Manager Sal Shaghasi took over operations of Dave’s German Auto in 2007 after spending many years running his own auto repair shop. Mr. Shaghasi says his lifelong passion for repairing automobiles is evident from the work his shop turns out. “I’ve always loved working on cars,” he confirms. “It’s a challenging practice, but that makes the rewards much more enjoyable.”
Dave’s German Auto puts a significant emphasis on customer service and communication. Mr. Shaghasi says he and his technicians abide by a basic philosophy: “We simply let our customers know what’s wrong with their cars and tell them how much they will cost to fix.” As European car specialists, the company also carries a sizeable inventory of European original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts.
