Bartlett Tree Experts' roots go back to 1907 when it was one of the first companies in the country to offer services for taking care of people's trees. They helped found the professional organization now known as the International Society of Arboriculture. Bartlett is the only tree service in the North Bay to pass the rigorous accredition inspection by the TCIA.

Much of the staff at Bartlett has impressive academic credentials including degrees in pest management, entomology, biology, horticulture, forestry, and natural resource management. Many, like manager, Mike Greene, a UC Davis graduate with a BA in Entomology and a Master's in Pest Management, have been with Bartlett since its inception in Marin. Bartlett's arborists were the first to become Certified Arborists in the state in the mid-80s.
