A - Test Only is a family-owned and operated Smog Test Only station with convenient locations in Vacaville, Vallejo and Fairfield. Test - Only smog stations are licensed by the state of California only for testing vehicles. They are prohibited from performing any repair services. All three of the A - Test Only locations are qualified to inspect and certify most vehicles, including gross polluters, smog required vehicles, Gold Shield and test-only DMV directed vehicles. Most areas of California require vehicles to have a smog check performed every two years, or when being sold or initially registered in California. Frequency also depends on the type of vehicle, model-year and the area in which the vehicle is registered.
