Q: How do I clean my shades, blinds or drapes?
A: "Depending on the product, we tell customers exactly how to clean it. We can also recommend alternative services if it’s something they can’t clean themselves."
Q: How long does the process take?
A: "Most products can be completely installed two to three weeks from the time of order. If products arrive sooner than expected, we’ll call and do the installation sooner. Shutters take about six to eight weeks, and a Roman shade takes about four weeks. Draperies can take six to eight weeks or longer, depending on the time of year."
Q: Should I choose solid wood over composites with a veneer?
A: "We install more composite shutters than anything else. The price is lower and the quality is good."
Q: Can PVC or poly shutters be painted?
A: "Yes, but it’s impractical to paint PVC or poly shutters because their colors are imbedded. You’re better off with wood shutters if you expect to change colors."
Q: Is child safety a concern?
A: "We often bring up child safety if a home has small children. Depending on what product a customer is interested in, we’ll recommend a cordless version."
