Q: Where do you find your painters?
A: "Our painters have been with us for many years. We have a mutual loyalty. They take great pride in their craftsmanship."
Q: Why should I paint this year instead of next year?
A: "Prices for contractors are at an all-time low. The margins are smaller, and that’s an opportunity for consumers to take advantage of great workmanship at a great price."
Q: What about stucco? Can you fill those cracks?
A: "Yes, but it’s a challenge. That’s why it’s important to go with two coats of paint. Frankly, if you have a lot of crack in your stucco, an upgrade to an elastomeric paint is recommended. It’s seven times thicker than regular paint and provides a better aesthetic than regular latex paint."
Q: I’ve heard about back-rolling. Why is that important?
A: "A lot of painters just spray, but we spray and then back-roll, which means one person is behind the sprayer with a roller, pushing the paint into the stucco or wood. This is extremely important with porous, stucco or wood because the paint is pushed in instead of just lying on the surface. If you want a high-quality paint job, you should make sure the paint is back-rolled."
