Q: What are the minimum requirements for a weekend wedding?
A: "We require a minimum of 25 reserved rooms for two nights and a rehearsal dinner for a minimum of 30 people. Rooms may accommodate between one and five guests. The maximum is 123 guests and includes a complimentary stay for the bride and groom."
Q: How many rooms are on your property?
A: "There are 30 cabin cottages and suites on the property. There are 11 rooms with two double beds and one twin bed, 15 rooms with two double beds, and four rooms with one double bed, for a total of 67 beds (56 doubles and 11 twins). Included in the above count is a house suite with three bedrooms, each with a double bed, and another with four bedrooms, each with two double beds."
Q: What does “exclusive use” mean?
A: "Unlike a hotel, Kennolyn Hilltop Hacienda is a private venue where you are our only client on your special day. Therefore, our staff is completely focused on making your event everything you want it to be. Very few venues can offer this level of privacy and personal attention."
Q: Can I customize the menu?
A: "Absolutely. We can provide a number of cuisines. We’ve done Japanese, Chinese, Indian, vegetarian and vegan menus, among others."
Q: Do you offer organic and sustainable ingredients?
A: "We try to use organic and sustainable ingredients whenever possible, and we can design customized menus or substitute specific ingredients to accommodate special requests."
Q: When are weekend weddings available?
A: "We’re open during May, June, September and October."
Q: How far out do we have to book?
A: "It all depends on the availability of your particular date. Most people book about nine months out. We’ve been able to book weddings as little as six weeks out. For luncheons and single-day events, we can work with as little as two weeks lead time."
Q: Is your facility environmentally friendly?
A: "Kennolyn is owned by a family that supports the environment. We own 300 acres, 75 percent of which is undeveloped. We have a 100 percent green wedding package—we actively recycle and compost almost all of the wedding-related garbage (including food, flowers and paper products) and strive to use non-disposable products whenever possible."
