Q: Do you provide designs and plans for projects?
A: "For small jobs, we’ll do the design. For more complicated projects, we can recommend an architect or engineer. The dividing line is usually the permitting process. If the permit requires the plans to be drawn up by a structural engineer or architect, we have to get their review and stamp, even if I’m the one who drew them."
Q: Can we stay in the building during the renovation?
A: "That depends on the scope and nature of the renovation. We can often set up temporary sinks or microwaves in a bedroom if the kitchen is being remodeled."
Q: Do you operate a clean worksite?
A: "Yes. We’ll remove all demolition material, and we put up dust curtains and use floor protectors."
Q: How do you handle security on a jobsite?
A: "We usually use a lockbox for keys. All our subcontractors have been with us for years. They’re tested entities—we know what to expect from them and trust them implicitly."
Q: Are you on the jobsite all the time?
A: "If I’m not personally working a job, I’ll be on the site daily just to make sure everything is running smoothly. And of course, I’m always available via cell phone."
